Clay Pigeon Shooting Colne, LancashireMin. Age 8
Spread across a sprawling 70 acres, The Big Shoot's Colne site is like a theme park for clay shooters- you can't say it is anything less than their wildest dreams come true! We offer a plethora of traps and shooting stands, stunning scenery and leading expert tuition. The site is owned and run by former Olympic shooter Michael Meggison, who was part of the team represented Great Britain in 1980 and 1984, whilst his son has been a championship shooter since he was 13. With these great shooting genes running in the family, you know it is going to rub off on you when you take aim here.
With some absolutely cracking facilities and more challenges than any other site in the region, you can see exactly why clay shooters agree this is one of the best shooting ranges in the North of England. This mammoth 70 acre site boasts 50 automatic traps, hidden across sweeping forests and moorlands, as well as near beautiful lakes and ponds. The more clays you take down, the more you'll feel this adrenaline rush of a challenge is more exhilarating than a real hunt! We also have 9 gigantic towers, ranging from 12 ft to 80ft.
Our site has toilets, spectator areas and car parking facilities. Light refreshments are available on the day.
Experience the sheer satisfaction of cracking clays as you take advantage of one of our spectacular shooting grounds situated across the UK and Ireland! Accommodating those as young 5, our venues are tailor-made to accommodate your specific skill level. So, whether you're looking to learn the basics with full expert tuition from our qualified instructors or looking to improve your pre-existing dead-eye talents, we've got a venue to suit you! "Excellent afternoon shooting, the tuition was excellent and the course and various shoots where really good."
"My booking was a typical “LastMinute.com” arrangement from my side - but The Big Shoot (and specifically Henry) went out of their way to accommodate me. They kept me informed by phone and E-mail, and were even able to re-book it for me after I didn’t reply to the E-mail or voice-mail before the cut-off deadline."
"Fantastic in every way, the instructor was amazing and will be booking back for another day of shooting. "

"Our instructor Jeff was outstanding. We had a great day and will definitely be returning. "
