The Big Shoot's Newark location can be found just outside the Sherwood Forest home of Robin Hood, where he famously took down all his enemies with only a bow and arrow to hand. In the modern world, his choice of weapon is laughable- as we all know the best way to take down targets is with a shotgun! Here, we deliver clay shooting thrills that are way beyond Robin's wildest dreams. With plenty of fully automated targets designed to emulate real game, you'll feel like you've left the real world behind are now deep in the wilderness, on a real hunt!
For really big events we can provided a marquee and catering.We have a purpose built, spacious clubhouse with light refreshments available. This is at your disposal during your visit. Please note we are closed on Thursdays.

We boast an expert team of CPSA qualified expert tutors and grounds protected by the BASC, so you know you are going to get first class training on one of the best sites imaginable. With 3 sporting layouts with over 50 automated clays to take down, as well as Skeet and Trap ranges, this is gun slinging perfection.
Our site has toilets, spectator areas, car parking and disabled facilities. Light refreshments are available.

After an essential safety briefing and welcome mug of coffee or tea, you'll get some expert tuition from a highly trained instructor. Then it's out to our first stand and the excitement begins. Typically, the targets on each stand are named to reflect the type of live quarry they are designed to simulate, for example - Driven Pheasant, Bolting Rabbit, Crossing Pigeon, Dropping Duck, etc so you get plenty of variety. Had a fantastic time! Was for my wifes birthday, something she wanted to try and loved it. Staff are really friendly,our instructor Pete was great, very helpful and made sure we got the most from our time there. Can't recommend them enough, we will be going back!
We had Peter as our leader / instructor for the course and we really enjoyed it, he was really helpful and despite never doing it before we managed to do quite well. Enjoyed being able to shoot from different angles and thought the equipment / facilities were great. All other members of staff we were in contact with were also just as friendly and helpful.
