If you've never been clay shooting before, we've found the perfect venue for your first clay shooting experience. Based in a prestigious estate, The Big Shoot's Yeaveley site has been delivering only the finest clay shooting thrills to budding gun slingers for over 60 years. When you take down targets with us, you are going to be facing off against some of the toughest clay shooting challenges you'll find anywhere in the country. These targets are so exhilarating, they don't feel like automated traps- they feel like real live game that you would hunt in the wild. Can you take them down?
With modern, well-maintained equipment and safe environment, Yeaveley's facilities are second to none. The welcoming shooting lodge offers a great range of food and drink. We run a fully licensed bar. For larger events we erect a fully lined, chandelier lit Marquee.
Professional tuition is provided by dedicated members of staff. A specially designed shooting tower adds to the challenge by releasing high targets. We are constantly upgrading our shooting ground to improve the variety of our layout. There are targets here to satisfy the novice and the seasoned shot.

If you don't believe we're one of Britain's best clay shooting sites, all you need to do is look around the fantastic range of facilities we have on site. We have a plethora of layouts, each tailor made to suit your skill level, whilst slowly pushing you out of your comfort zone and unleashing the Olympic worthy marksman that hides within. We have many game hunt style challenges, where you'll be taking down fast moving targets which realistically simulate birds from grouse to pheasants. If this isn't enough action for you, then maybe you should take down targets that fall from our high tower!

Whether you’re taking on the clays for the first time, or looking to brush up on the basics, a 25 clay shoot is the perfect way to experience the rush of this exhilarating target sport. Under the tuition of an experienced instructor you’ll learn how to use a shotgun safely and accurately, and after mastering skills such as stance and swing you’ll be ready to put your accuracy to the ultimate test. In total you’ll face 25 clay targets, and with an instructor on hand throughout you’ll get all the expert advice you need to blow the clays to smithereens!

Black Powder Clay Shooting
Our black powder clay shooting is a real blast from the past where you'll experience what clay pigeon shooting used to be like before the invention of smokeless powders. You will use two different types of gun, muzzle loading and breech loading, and when fired each produces a thrilling flame and black smoke from the barrel of the gun. This experience takes place over 4 shooting stands with 20 shots in total (15 breech loading and 5 muzzle loading) lasting approximately 2 hours depending on your group size.
